The Problem: SEO and content marketing are not integrated

In today’s rapidly shifting world, SEO techniques can change on a dime—and the worst part is that you might not even know it. Hacks that could have won you a front-page result last year are not only obsolete now, but they may even hurt your website’s rankings. Include any keywords you want to rank for in the title tag. The closer to the start of the tag the keyword is, the more likely that your page will rank for that keyword Google’s algorithm takes into account users’ interactions and experience with a website based on how long they stay on a page and what webpage in the search results a user clicks on. Links have always been a valuable aspect of an SEOs strategy, and many SEO agencies focus on building relevant links to get first page search results on Google. In the past, Google’s algorithm was not quite clever or sophisticated enough to ignore the poor quality links these techniques garnered but that is changing. The Panda and Penguin updates represent perhaps Google’s most aggressive attempt to clean up its search results and in turn, this is having a major impact on the approach that needs to be taken to link building in particular.

Trust and Relationships

Starting with SEO, what you want to achieve is a headline that will rank well and earn a high click-through rate. The overwhelming aim here is for a searcher to click on your article over others and you do not want your respondents to click the back button because the content doesn’t fit their needs. Content freshness matters. Keeping your content up to date helps search engines understand that your site is accurate today. Develop SEO-enabled content from creation that is ready to deliver across all devices. Originally devised as a way to combat comment spam, when a nofollow attribute is added to a link it tells search engines that your link to it isn't necessarily a vote of confidence. In the past, some people tried to make their pages extra-relevant by using the keywords for which they want to get high rankings over and over again in their internal links. The idea was that a web page must be very relevant to a keyword if many other pages of the website link to that page with that keyword.

Does the extra s even matter? S for Security

Do you sponsor any events? Ensure you get a link from their website to yours as part of the deal. User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords. Stop looking for quick wins and focus on building a trustworthy brand filled with incredible information. If you do that and you do just the smallest bit of marketing to give yourself a push, Google’s algorithm should do the rest and reward your enthusiasm! There are many reasons why SEO is an important part of your marketing strategy. 99% of people don’t need any fancy tools or tactics. They just need to write the best content online for the topic they want to go after. Always keep the restrictions of the small screen in mind when creating or editing content. Don’t use too many long sentences, keep your paragraphs around four sentences and use many stops like lists and headings to break up your text.

Don't go overboard at the risk of being penalized by Bing

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "Modern SEO is about so much more than keywords and meta tags." Do your maths - its one of the primary resources for this sort of thing. Its as simple as KS2 Maths. Really! You have to keep in mind that in order to have people purchase or sign up with your products and services, you have to convince them first. You would know if a person is almost convinced if he is constantly revisiting your site from time to time. To have a person revisit your site, you need to give him reasons to; and, one of which is by providing the site with new and updated content. Engagement with a website began to emerge as a ranking factor with the release of the Panda update by Google on February 23, 2011 It appears that when attempting to improve search engine ranking for a web-site, a position in the top six of the search engine results page has never been more important. Even web pages that currently have a top search engine ranking cannot afford to be complacent. Google Analytics is an intuitive and free measurement platform that gives you insight into all of your webpages. It all starts with a line of code that you put in the header of your website that will let you install a container of Google tags, that will give you visibility in your analytics Dashboard.

Dominate your own little niche first

Consumer behavior has rapidly matured with the growth of the online world. Customers access the internet through a variety of different platforms and channels. Two thirds of shoppers report using more than one channel when deciding to make a purchase. Google’s emphasis on links is the most significant area of overlap between its organic and local ranking algorithms. Never sell yourself short and never assume anyone knows your business better than you. The content on your site should be organized in a logical way. This is not only good for SEO, it also helps visitors on your site find other related content easily. There’s strong evidence that click-through rates will influence your website’s Google search ranking, though this is difficult to confirm given the company’s secrecy surrounding their algorithms.

The Problem: SEO and content marketing are not integrated

Meta tags are the HTML elements that search engines and visitors find your content. It’s what they can see in a search engine and thus, it’s important to add value in a limited number of characters. Follow links are links that Google bots and humans can follow. The bot reaches the links and then continues onto the next page, bringing some value from the source site. Google and other search engines also use the text of the URL of the page to determine the content of the web page. You should use your keyword or phrase in the URL of the web page - either the folder/directory structure or the HTML file/page name itself. Google’s featured snippet is a tool through which Google interacts with searchers. The more inputs Google receives from searchers, the better becomes its understanding of what they want. If you don't have a good handle on who the people are who are buying your products, how will your SEO consultant help you bring those people to your website?
